The Translator tool allows you to select one of the 31 raags from Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the scale (such as C#, D#, A#, and so on)
and it shows Aaroh and Avroh of the raag in the selected scale.
This tool is useful for instrument tuning or for quick reference of notes in the raag.

Select three or more notes (for both Aaroh and Avroh) by clicking on the Sur buttons and turning them blue - the results
window shows all the raags that make use of the selected notes in Aaroh and Avroh. As of now, the tool only tries to match Shuddh raags,
support for mishrit raags will be added in future.
Both S and Ṡ are by default and always already selected and they cannot be changed.

Focused listening is a key element in learning music. Being able to figure out notes and raag used in the bandish that you are listening to is an important skill
that requires strong foundation and ear training.
With that goal in mind, Raag Quest is a quiz-based tool, where you can listen to an audio clip, and
select your best answer! The tool shows the correct answer and keeps score of how many questions you have answered correctly in that session.
Initial release of the tool has about 110 audio clips and we will keep adding more clips and recordings for more coverage. Currently all
the clips are for Shuddh Gurmat Sangeet Raags. Mishrit and other Hindustani Raags recordings will be added in future.
You can press the play or pause button on the audio player, select an answer and press Submit. If you answered it incorrectly, it will be highlighted in
Red as
shown below. The correct answer is highlighted in Green.
Once you submit an answer, the button changes to Next Question, pressing this takes you to the next question.

Riyaz with surs/notes in straight ascending or descending order is easy - but can you sing the surs accurately when they are
not sequential - when they are in random order? This is what Sur Abhyas tool helps with!
First step is to provide input phrases of one or more notes by using one of two ways:
Using first input option, three phrases SR, GM, PD are provided as input![]() For the provided three phrases, tool gives you 15 lines in random order. ![]() You can press Generate over and over to create generating new random order of phrases/notes that you provided as input. Press![]() |

Alankars is a great tool to keep generating random sequences of phrases of notes you have provided. You can select notes and specify "number of notes in phrase" and keep pressing Generate button to generate different phrases using the notes you have selected.

For a given phrase, Layakaari tools allows you to mix and match notes from the given phrase, and present them in
different possible vibhags (i.e. divisions).
For example, for phrase SRGM - which has four notes, can be split as 2-2, or 1-3, or 3-1, or 1-1-1-1, or 2-1-1, 1-1-2, and so on.
And notes can be moved around to create different phrases. This tool does both. Rearranges the notes in all possible order,
and then allows you to view and practice them in different possible vibhags.

Limit Results to drop down allows you to focus on limited number of notes instead of a large number of all possible combinations.
